Location: Remote (must be in close proximity to Portland, OR to be considered). Client's office location is in Hillsboro, OR.
Contract Duration: 3-4 months with potential for extension
Pay Rate: $19-$21 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time hours
Job Description:
LHH Recruitment has an exciting opportunity to hire an HR Administrative Assistant for our unique client based in Hillsboro, Oregon. Previous human resources experience is NOT required! This is a great foot in the door position to gain experience with recruitment and HR functions. We are seeking a candidate who is self-motivated as this will be a primarily remote position, and who is excited to learn HR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining employee records, processing paperwork, and updating HR databases.
- Support the recruitment process by posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
- Handle onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing new hire packets and conducting exit interviews.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Coordinate and organize HR-related events and training sessions.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Previous experience in an administrative or HR role is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn a new system.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
